For more than fifty years, the town sport department, has been promoting the sport in Geneva: developing all type of equipment, encouraging children and adults, organizing different type of competitions. It will help you out to let you know where and how to practice sport in town. Winter and summer sport holidays are organized at very low and interesting cost.
Geneva is an ideal location to departure if you want to go hiking: one hour drive from Chamonix, 1.15 hours for the Vaud side of the Alps, 1.30 hours for the Valais. But don’t forget Jura and the Saleve.
